Marianna was drawn to the art of photography at a young age. In the sixth grade, she completed her first creative photography and writing project for a Communication Arts class. At the age of thirteen, she began exploring film photography and developing photographs in a darkroom at a summer program. She continued her photography studies as a Visual Arts major at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and the Performing Arts, where she was recognized as a gifted photographer and sold her first print.
After graduating high school she was hired as an Associate Photographer by a boutique wedding photography studio in New York City, where she had the opportunity to photograph numerous wedding celebrations, experience a true apprenticeship, and learn diverse digital imaging techniques for six years.
Marianna attended image-making classes at the Fashion Institute of Technology, the School of Visual Arts, and the International Center of Photography in New York City. Her work has been featured by Boston University, the New York Times, Manhattan Bride, and American Photo. Marianna’s proudest accomplishment in her photography journey is bringing meaningful experiences to hundreds of individuals through the power of the image.
